We support deserving student doctors so they can bring quality medical treatment to those in need.
Founded in 1984, we are a 501c3 nonprofit organization registered with the New York State Charities Bureau and Internal Revenue Service (IRS # 11-2743591).
Although other groups may be sharing information online, please be aware that we are the only legally recognized organization of MCU Medical Alumni in the United States at both the State and Federal levels.
History
The MCU Medical Alumni Foundation and Association in America was originally formed in 1984 by a group of four alumni in New York City in conjunction with University Administrators. They wished to organize other graduates to support the students and programs at the MCU Medical College, and in 1987 MCUMAFAA was officially recognized as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
MCU College of Medicine is highly respected for graduating "hands on" physicians who are not only trained in cutting-edge technology, but also able to provide care in underdeveloped communities with limited resources.
It is a fully accredited program, graduating approximately 100 physicians each year.
